Suzanne Cantwell Birkin
Suzanne Cantwell Birkin is Artistic Director of Gravity’s Angel. She hails from America, where she received her Bachelor and Master degrees in dance from Temple University in Philadelphia. Before her move across the pond, Suzanne danced in a company from North Carolina called ChoreoCollective. During her tenure in New York City, she was an independent choreographer and dance teacher. Her choreography has been performed in Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York City, Connecticut and North Carolina. One of her most recent works, Mrs. Someone, was performed at The American Dance Festival, and won the Best Dances 2003 award from the Independent Newspapers in North Carolina. Recently, she has worked with Lea Anderson through the Learning Moves project with Creative Partnerships and has also danced with Being Frank Physical Theatre. Suzanne is also passionate about teaching dance to children and adults, and teaches for the Coventry Performing Arts Service, Pattison’s College, and a private ballet school in Solihull.
Michelle Keegan
Michelle Keegan trained at MADD (Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama) then continued her studies at Coventry University, where she gained a BA in Dance and Professional Practice. Since graduating, Michelle has performed with Essence Dance Company and Flawless Dance Company. Recently Michelle has been involved with The Degas Project and The Lady Macbeth Project in association with PAS and Highly Sprung Theatre Company. Previously Michelle has performed in International Variety Shows at Her Majesty's Theatre, London. Michelle teaches for the Performing arts Service and Leamington and Warwick Dance School on a freelance basis .
Hannah Edie-Pabla
Hannah Edie-Pabla (Ba hons PGCE) has danced locally at Three Spires dance school from the age of 6. She then went on to study dance at Wolverhampton University, graduating in 2001. Hannah has worked with various choreographers, as well as being a member of both Topiary and Misnomer Dance Company. Performance work has included performing in Theatres and venues throughout England, including The Place, London. Hannah has most recently worked as a professional dancer for Being Frank Physical Theatre. Having completed a PGCE secondary dance course at De Montfort University, Hannah is currently Head of Dance at Shenley Court Specialist Arts College, Birmingham, where she teaches key stage 3, GCSE and A level dance. Hannah is also a GCSE and AS dance examiner and continues to perform in her spare time.
Cheryl Adams
Cheryl Adams started dancing at the age of 5, going to ballet and tap classes. She also trained and competed at a National level as a gymnast until the age of 18. Cheryl then went on to study Contemporary Dance at Coventry University. After graduating in 2001 she has been teaching dance at City College Coventry, and also as a Street Dance and Cheerleading teacher at various primary schools around the City.
Raelene Butlin
Raelene Blakey (BA Hons, PGCE) has danced from the age of 5, Raelene is now a dance advisor for the west of Coventry, working in primary and secondary schools teaching dance to all ages. She completed her degree at St Martins College, Lancaster before setting up ‘The Alternative Dance Company’, specializing in dance in education work throughout the North West. She completed her PGCE at De Montford University, Bedford and went straight into Head of Dance at King Edward VII, Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire. She was also the dance tutor for Stagecoach, Leicestershire at this time. She is currently working as a GCSE and AS dance moderator as well as being a full time mum to her two young children.
Alexsis Wilkinson
Alexis Wilkinson studied Dance & Professional Practice at Coventry University. Since graduating in 2001, she has performed with the Wherewithal Dance Collective in 'Storeys of Subsidence' (2001 & 2002), and most recently with Highly Sprung Performance Company in 'Candyfloss' (2004). Alexis teaches dance both freelance and for the Coventry Performing Arts Service.
Andrea Wilkins
Andrea Wilkins trained at Coventry University where she gained a BA in Dance and Professional Practice. She further continued her studies at Laban and obtained an MSc in Dance Science where she investigated Transitions Dance Company and Birmingham Royal Ballet Dancers. She currently works for the Performing Arts Service teaching ballet and contemporary dance to various age groups. She has performed in numerous Variety Shows at Sadlers Wells and the London Palladium, and has also performed with Square Peg Dance Company in 'Induced' and Flawless Dance Company with 'We Will Be'.

Elaina Behl
Elaina Behl trained in Ballet, Modern, Character for RAD syllabus until 18. She holds an HND Dance and BA hons in Dance Practice and Cultural Policy both at Coventry University. On leaving university, Elaina worked for DNA Dance and Music Company, performances and education/outreach work. Currently, Elaina teaches A level at Stratford-upon-Avon college, PAS work including GCSE dance at Tile Hill Wood School and Pilates. She is married with two young children, slave to mortgage, husband etc etc.

Yael Owen-McKenna
Yael Owen-McKenna trained at the Laban Centre London gaining a diploma in Dance Theatre. She undertook her Masters degree at Nottingham Trent University (2000-2002) exploring the relationships between movement, written text and literary themes. Yael is currently working as Team Leader for Dance at the Coventry Performing Arts Service. This year, she has been teaching Advanced Contemporary Technique at Danceexchange Birmingham, and has created 'Glade' with the Adult Performance Group at Danceexchange.

Sarah Worth
Sarah Worth graduated with a first class BA Hons in Theatre and Professional Practice from Coventry University. Sarah became Artistic Director of Highly Sprung Performance Co., a professional small scale touring company. The company creates original and innovative performance exploring the relationship between dance, physical theatre and text. Projects with the company include her involvement both as director and as a member of the ensemble. Sarah also works extensively with young people in education and the community both for Highly Sprung and with Coventry Performing Arts Service.

Pippa Adams
Pippa Adams originally trained in ballet and street dance, performing in dance shows and events around Coventry and Kenilworth. She then moved onto contemporary dance whilst studying for her dance GCSE, and joined the PAS Youth Dance group ‘Omega’ in 2006. Pippa hopes to continue her dance training in Manchester during her gap year and at university the following year.
Jenny Hayton
Jenny Hayton is 18 and is currently studying for A level's at Finham Park School. Jenny's interest for dance began when she became part of Coventry Youth Dance Company when the company was formed in 2003, since then she has performed in many different shows and projects with Youth Dance and through school, and hopes to continue with her dance throughout university.
